Young talent Linklater signs with Royals, adds to youth, longevity of Langton program

The Langton Royals have announced the signing of 16-year-old goalie Hayden Linklater for the 2019-20 CPJHL season.

"Hayden adds to the youth of our team and furthers the longevity of our franchise," said Royals coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "Hayden will come develop his skills with our assistant coach/goalie coach Mark Jones daily.

"Hayden, as well as our other goalies, will get the opportunity to work with Jones, a top-notch goalie instructor and person, every day. They have the added benefit of Jones being right on the bench to critique and help during games, which is a huge benefit to our goalies."

Linklater, a 2003 birth year, can't wait to get to Langton.

"This is a great opportunity for my hockey career, meeting new people and making new friends," said Linklater. "It also gives me a chance to see a different perspective from the junior hockey level and will help me gain experience. I would like to focus on my school work, learn from the organization and better myself by being the best goalie I can be. Some of my goals are to complete high school, move on to college or university and possibly make the NHL one day to become a positive role model to indigenous youth of PBCN and across Canada."
