WEEKEND ROUNDUP: Le Becard sweeps Smiths Falls, while Stallions, Mustangs, Generals all post wins

A total of five games were played this past weekend, which marks the second to last weekend of the 2019-20 CPJHL regular season.

Here are the highlights from each game:


Le Becard de Senneterre 9, Smiths Falls Settlers 1

From the Centre Sportif Andre Dube, Isaiah Cooper netted a hat trick, while Lweon Wiskeychan and Vincent Roy each contributed a goal and two assists. Steven Gagnon added a goal and an assist, Charles Desilets two goals, Alec Boutin two helpers, and Alexandre Beaulieu also scored. Dylan Henri scored for the Settlers and Jonatan Horne made 66 saves between the pipes.


Le Becard de Senneterre 9, Smiths Falls Settlers 7

Back at the Centre Sportif Andre Dube, Pier-Luc Bellard posted three goals, Vincent Roy added two goals, and Jordan Riviere, Alexandre Beaulieu and Cedric Chantal all had a goal and an assist for Le Becard. Steven Gagnon, Andy Mapachee and Maxime Lemaire each recorded two assists and Leon Wiskeychan scored once. In goal, Antoine Chouinard made 24 saves. For Smiths Falls, Dylan Henri tallied three goals and four assists and Ismael Prudent added a goal and six assists. Andraz Homan added two goals and two assists and Theron Iron Opekopew also scored. Jonatan Horne turned aside 70 shots in net.

Severn Stallions 5, Langton Royals 2

From the Coldwater Community Centre, Jared Weatherbee notched a pair of goals for the Stallions, and Sammy Spencer and Christopher Champagne each had a goal and an assist. Joshua Jones also scored and netminder David Barrett made 40 saves. Malcom Gamelin posted a goal and an assist for Langton and Felix Mailhot added a goal. Trevor Slaven finished with a 30-save performance between the pipes.

Maniwaki Mustangs 12, Le Buffalo de Ferme Neuve 3

At the Centre Sportif Ben Leduc, Yannick Brindamour went for two goals and four assists, Matis Roy chipped in with four goals and a helper, Jeremy Brooks added two goals and two assists, and Paul Fuchs tacked on a goal and three assists. Alexandre Bordeleau and Anthony Bedard each registered a goal plus an assist and Niels Colliot had two assists. Julian Loon also scored and Logan Hensley stopped 32 shots in goal. For Le Buffalo, Lucas Desjardins had a goal and an assist, Xavier Beaudoin and Steven Junior Flamand scored one each, and Zak Flamand made 40 stops in net.


Seaforth Generals 2, Langton Royals 1

From the Langton Arena, Jeff Fritzley scored with 22 seconds left to play in the third period as the Generals came from behind to topple the Royals. Cedric Beck also scored for Seaforth and added an assist, while Raul Barbo stopped 34 shots in goal. Harley Werminsky scored the lone goal for Langton and goalie Hayden Linklater finished with 31 saves.
