Weekend Roundup: Le Becard picks up two wins; Severn Langton, Maniwaki, Muskoka also grab victories

The fourth week of the 2019-20 CPJHL season saw six games on the schedule.


Muskoka Anglers 6, Scarborough Wexford Raiders 5

Jacob Smith's third goal of the game with 2:06 to play in the third period stood as the game-winning tally for the Anglers in Gravenhurst. Smith added an assist for a four-point game. Raiders captain Cam Emilio also tallied three goals with an assist. Chance Turinsky posted two goals and a helper for the Anglers. Muskoka goalie William Tisserand finished with 38 saves, while Scarborough's T.J. Ramsey made 39 stops.


Le Becard de Senneterre 13, Smiths Falls Settlers 2

From the Centre Sportif André Dubé, Vincent Roy registered a hat trick for Le Becard and Etienne Demers and Maxime Lemaire added a goal and three asists apiece in the win. Pier-Luc Bellard posted three goals and two assists and Jordan Riviere notched three goals with a helper. Alexandre Beaulieu kicked in five assists. Gianni Schiappa-Godard made 14 saves in goal for Senneterre. For the Settlers, Jonatan Horne finished with 69 saves.

Severn Stallions 11, Muskoka Anglers 1

On home ice at the Coldwater Community Center, Dylan Beattie paced the Severn offense with five goals and an assist for a six-point performance. Liam Coleman added three goals and two assists and Jared Weatherbee chipped in a goal and four assists. In net, Cameron Paton stopped 28 shots. Muskoka goaltender Nicholas Papia made 32 saves.

Maniwaki Mustangs 9, Ferme-Neuve Le Buffalo 9

In a battle of offense from Centre Sportif Ben Leduc, James Roy and Phillippe Gaudron each tallied a goal and three assists for the Mustangs, while Jeremy Pontbriand added two goals. Logan Hensley and Elie Giguere combined on a 42-save outing between the pipes, For Le Buffalo, Steven Junior Flamand scored four times and added two assists and Jerrycko Flamand added a goal and two assists. Dylan Beauchamp tacked on three assists and goalie Nicolas Robert made 36 saves.


Langton Royals 6, Muskoka Anglers 4

Playing at home at the Langton Arena, five different players scored for the Royals, including a two-goal effort from Levi Noltcho. Juliusz Kowalski added a goal plus two helpers and Justyn Clark fashioned a goal and an assist to back Hayden Linklatr's 15 saves in net. For Muskoka, Marten Poldmets went for a goal and an assist and Tyler Bayoff picked up a pair of assists. Nicholas Papia and William Tisserand combined to make 21 saves.

Le Becard de Senneterre 7, Smiths Falls Settlers 2

At Centre Sportif André Dubé, Pier-Luc Bellard scored twice and Jordan Riviere posted a goal and two assists in the win. Between the pipes, Gianni Schiappa-Godard finished with 16 stops. Dylan Henri and Askar Kagirov scored for the Settlers and Ryan Price-Leston stopped 46 shots in goal.
