WEEKEND ROUNDUP: Le Becard picks up pair of Ws; Raiders, Stallions, Le Buffalo, Royals also win

A half-dozen games are in the books after more action went down over the past weekend.


Scarborough Wexford Raiders 5, Seaforth Generals 2

From the Scarborough Arena Gardens, Evan Speiran and Kevin Shirmaly each went for a goal and two assists to pace the Wexford attack as Cam Hanson made 78 saves to get the win in net. For Seaforth, Owen Haiek had a goal and an assist and Raul Barbo finished with 49 saves between the pipes.

Severn Stallions 5, Muskoka Anglers 2

Dylan Beattie totaled two goals and an assist for the Stallions, as the defending champs knocked off the Anglers at Graeme Murray Arena. In goal, Cameron Paton stopped 28 shots. Muskoka captain Sammy Spencer registered a goal and an assist and goalie Ethan Thomas kicked out 41 shots.

Le Becard de Senneterre 7, Maniwaki Mustangs 4

At Centre Gino-Odjick, Jordan Riviere recorded three goals and an assist and Maxime Lemaire added a goal and an assist for Le Becard (pictured). Gianni Schiappa-Godard made 28 saves in goal. Maniwaki was led by Yannick Brindamour's two-goal, one-assist outing and Cedrick Robidoux's 30 saves between the pipes.


Le Buffalo de Ferme-Neuve 5, Maniwaki Mustangs 3

In a game played at Manawan, Sheldon Dube-Ottawa figured on all the Ferme-Neuve goals by scoring three and assisting on two more. John-Evan Moar went for two goals and an assist and netminder Zak Flamand finished with 40 saves. For the Mustangs, Yannick Brindamour scored a pair of goals and Logan Hensley stopped 30 shots in goal.

Le Becard de Senneterre 11, Smiths Falls Settlers 5

From the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre, Vincent Roy paced the Senneterre attack with three goals and four assists, while Jordan Riviere added two goals and two assists, Jordan Bisson two goals and a helper and Maxime Lemaire a goal and two assists. Antoine Chouinard made 35 saves for the win. Smiths Falls captain Malcolm Gamelin scored twice, Marcus Decoursay added a goal and an assist and Dylan Henri two assists as goalies Ethan Messner and Jonatan Horne combined on a 41-save performance.


Langton Royals 6, Seaforth Generals 4

At the Seaforth Community Centre, Felix Mailhot recorded a hat trick and Colin Spence contributed a goal and an assist for the Royals, who got a 36-save outing in goal from Trevor Slaven. For the Generals, Keaton Wynne scored two goals and Owen Haiek added a goal and two assists as Max Hetman finished with 35 saves in goal.

NOTE: The Settlers-Le Buffalo game scheduled for Sunday was postponed due to inclement weather.
