Versatile Davis returns for third tour of duty with Stallions

The Essa Stallions have announce the re-signing of forward-defenseman Josh Davis.

Davis, a local product out of Waubashene, Ont., comes back for his third season with the club.

"Josh is a versatile player for us," said Essa head coach and director of hockey operations Sylvain Cloutier. "He was asked to play multiple positions this past season, and when we switched him to 'D' halfway through the season for a full-time position, he adapted and adjusted quite well. Having the ability to ask a lot of him, and have him hold up and do what we ask, shows tremendous leadership and other guys feed off that."

"He was a very important part of our penalty kill last season, along with Evan (Daniel)," added Stallions assistant coach-GM David Lang. "I believe his ability to produce offense on the PK is a special skill set, one of which we are very happy to have back."

In 38 games last season, Davis tallied 12 point, two of which were short-handed goals.
