Stallions shore up future between the pipes, sign U.S-born netminder Baxter

The Essa Stallions have added more depth to the lineup, signing American-born goaltender Jacob Baxter for the upcoming 2018-19 CPJHL season.

"You can never have enough good young goaltenders, and Jacob fits that bill," said Essa head coach and director of hockey operations Sylvain Cloutier. "We're very lucky where we are right now to have who we have on our roster. These guys are going to push one another to be better, as well as help one another."

"We're excited to add Jacob to the roster," added Stallions GM and assistant coach David Lang. "He is a younger goaltender, still needs to mature a bit in the net, but we feel the development for him here with our program will help him reach that potential he seeks. Having the veteran presence of our older guys will help him along and will make him better for the long haul."
