Stallions move Tofilovski to NAIA's Lindenwood-Belleville

The Essa Stallions have advanced another as Nils Tofilovski is off to Lindenwood University–Belleville (NAIA) for next season.

Tofilovski played the past two seasons for the Stallions and was also selected for the CPJHL All-Star Team that competed in the WSHL Shootout.

"Obviously, we're going to miss having Nils around," said Essa head coach Sylvain Cloutier. "His presence on and off the ice will be greatly missed. He was leader on and off the ice, and not sure a person of Nils character can be replaced. He was a difference maker for us. Can play all situations, and is one hell of a skater. It's a tough part of the business, but that's what we do here at Essa. We grow players on the ice, and young men off it in hopes of getting them promoted to bigger things, whether it's school, or Europe."

"We're going to miss him, but we know how happy Lindenwood will be to have skilled player like Nils," added Stallions GM-assistant coach David Lang. "Smooth skater, patience, this kid has it all. We're going to miss him, but as a hockey staff and as an organization, we are beyond happy and excited for him."

In 34 games last season, Tofilovski amassed seven goals and 38 assists for 45 points.
