The Langton Royals have announced the signing of forward Jeremy McDonald for the 2019-20 CPJHL season.

McDonald is a native of Fond Du Lac, Sask.

“Jeremy is a feisty right winger with a lot of intensity," said Royals coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "Jeremy has a lot of passion for the game and when speaking with him and his family, we all agreed that this would be a great opportunity for Jeremy. We are looking at Jeremy to contribute both offensively and defensively."

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound right winger is thrilled about becoming a Royal.

“Well, there’s no words," McDonald said. "I’m happy and can’t wait - this is the goal I wanted and the place I want to be. My future goal is to be talked about back home and show that indigenous kids can play good hockey at high levels.

“Why did I pick the Royals? Well, I see there’s a lot of respect in the family. I want to be part of that hockey family. The Royals and the coach are the best. He’s a really good coach and I’ll listen to him every step of the way.”
