Royals announce hiring of Strangis as new head coach and general manager

The Brampton Royals have announced the hiring of Joe Strangis as the team's new head coach and GM. 

With years of coaching and playing under his belt, Strangis is no stranger to the game.

Having a chance to work with and develop many great hockey players in his time, Strangis has coached various teams in the GTHL, including the Humbervilley Sharks and the Toronto Eagles.

Working for PTH before finally buying the company and running it himself helped Strangis gain many contacts. During this time, he also ran the PRODIGY Hockey 5-on-5 Youth Summer League.

Strangis played his pro career in Italy for Torino Volpe. 

With the Royals, he will be bring a full staff on board to help him run the program, including Russian goaltending coach Serge Kuklev.
