The Langton Royals continue to build for the 2020-21 CPJHL season, today signing defenseman Zackary Tanguay.

Tanguay is a 19-year-old native of Terrebone, PQ, who played last season for the Montreal-based Somang Academy.

"Zackary continues the tradition we had started in our first season with Somang Academy," said Royals coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "We enjoy the players from Somang as they bring the things we need to our team. We are excited to have Zackary here in the Royals family and are eager to get to work with him. He brings a great attitude and the desire to get better every day, which is something we preach on a daily basis.

"With those ingredients, Zacakary will do well with us."

On becoming a Royal, Tanguay said he can't wait to get back on the ice.

"I wanted to become a Royal because of the tradition that has began with Somang and because I've only heard positive things about this program," Tanguay said. "My goals for this season as a Royal are to become a better player and get stronger in the gym, which will make me a better overall athlete. I want to get better on my first pass and make decisions better as well as play confident all the time."

"My goals for my career are to play overseas and one day, I hope to represent my country at the Olympics."
