The Langton Royals have announced the signing of forward Thomas Perry for the 2020-21 CPJHL season.

The 18-year-old becomes the fourth Somang Academy player to sign with the Royals for next season, following O'Brian Brodeur, Zackary Tanguay and Maxime Cousineau.

"Thomas adds to the list of talent we have coming in this next season," said Langton coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "He has the attitude we want, he works hard, and is skilled - all things that are needed to be a successful hockey player. Speed, skill and creativity coming up the middle, Thomas has the ability to develop faster and smarter this season to get to where he would like to go.

"Thomas is going to fit in very well here and help us be a contender next season."

Perry, a Montreal native, is excited to get started with Langton.

"I wanted to become a Royal because I heard from past players and people in the hockey world that this is a great program and a great place to develop as a player and a person," said Perry. "I would like to develop my overall game, but my main objective is to compete and win.

"After the junior level, I would like to play collegiate hockey in North America and possibly play some pro hockey in Europe after that."
