Pair of Mustangs, Le Becard blueliner garner CPJHL monthly player awards for January performances

The Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League has announced its Players of the Month for the month of January.


Phillippe Beaudoin, Maniwaki Mustangs

Beaudoin tallied 10 goals and 23 points over seven games for the Mustangs last month.

A Fleurimont, QC, native, Beaudoin had a four-goal, two-assist game on Jan. 31 against Le Buffalo de Ferme Neuve, and also posted a three-goal, two-assist performance on Jan. 31, again against Le Buffalo.

The 2000 birth year is currently fourth in the CPJHL scoring race with 31 goals and 44 assists for 75 points.


Steven Gagnon, Le Becard de Senneterre

In January, Gagnon registered three goals and nine assists for 12 points in six games for Le Becard, including a two-goal game Jan. 18 against Maniwaki, one three-assist game Jan. 31 against Maniwaki and two two-assist performances.

The Lebel-sur-Quevillon, PQ, native and 2001 birth year has 11 goals and 34 points through 23 games on the season, good for second in defensemen scoring in the CPJHL.


Logan Hensley, Maniwaki Mustangs

During the month of January, Hensley went 3-1-0, with a 4.25 GAA and a .862 save percentage.

A 2002-born product from Boise, Idaho, Hensley is 13-5-0 this year with a 4.65 GAA, a .869 save percentage. His 13 wins are good for second in the league.
