On the heels of another successful season, the Maniwaki Mustangs have advanced graduating forward Anthony Bedard to the professional level.
Earlier this week, Bedard signed with the Federal Hockey League's Mentor Ice Breakers and last night, scored his first professional goal.
Bedard played two-plus seasons in the CPJHL, finishing second in scoring in 2018-19 with 53 goals and 51 assists for 104 points.
His 51 assists led the league this season.
Overall, the 19-year-old from Val d'Or, PQ. posted 93 goals and 110 assists for 203 points in 79 games (70 the past two seasons with the Mustangs, nine in 2016-17 with the Essa Stallions).
