Maniwaki Mustangs goaltender Louis Wery has committed to attend and play ACHA Division I hockey for Niagara University.

Niagara is located Lewiston, N.Y., just outside Buffalo.

A native of France who turns 21 in July, Wery went 16-9-0 last season with a 3.56 GAA, a .911 save percentage and one shutout.

"I would like to thank the Mustangs organization, which allowed me to flourish in ice hockey," said Wery. "And above all, who allowed me to continue my adventure with Niagara, I would like to highlight the huge work of a person in particular, for giving me his personal time to succeed in getting me to commit to the university - Eric Gauthier, I thank you.

"I would like to thank the fans. Thank you for coming to encourage us during the whole season. It's been a real pleasure to play in front of you every weekend.
Little shout out to my favorite supporter Atelier Pierre Auger. Thank you Samuel, Johanie, Kim, Aunt Megan, and Karine for helping me and supporting me throughout this season, and so many others. You are all family.

"Good luck to my teammates. I love you, boys."
