The Langton Royals have signed 17-year-old defenseman Levi Noltcho for the upcoming 2019-20 CPJHL season.

Noltcho hails from Dillon, Sask., and goes 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds.

“Levi caught my eye immediately when I went to see him at the elite prospects tournament,” said Langton coach-GM Jason Do Paco. “His size is definitely intimidating and he brings power to our team with excellent puck handling ability, reads the play well, plays physical and stays calm under pressure, which was very nice to see from a player his age.

"Levi and I spoke for a few weeks after the tournament and we discussed what he really wants for his life and career as a player. We both agreed this would be the place he would begin to take the right steps to achieve those things. Levi wants to play at the major junior level or at the collegiate level and is willing to put in the work to do so. I’m really excited to work with him - definitely a diamond in the rough.”

Noltcho is equally excited to head to the Royals.

“I am very excited to be a Royal and part of the family," Noltcho said. "I’m here to play hockey and work hard everyday as well as finish school and stay ahead of my studies. I have goals and I know this is the place that will help me achieve them. I want to play college and pro hockey one day and I feel that Langton will be the best place for my development.”
