The Grey Highlands Hawks have announced another key signing for the 2018-19 season in forward Dylan McRury.

McRury goes six feet and 180 pounds and is a Thunder Bay, Ont., native.

He played Junior B last season for the Schreiber Filane’s Falcons of the Lakehead Junior Hockey League.

Described as a playmaking forward who loves to get his teammates involved and will do whatever it takes for the success of the team, McRury patterns his game after Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan.

During McRury’s 13 years of hockey, he has had the honor of being named captain by his teammates on almost every team he has played on since Bantams. In the past five years of hockey, he has helped his teams win three city championships and has been named league MVP and team MVP, as well as capturing two scoring titles.

“I feel like hockey is what I was born to do," McRury said. "It's what I have a passion for and what I am good at doing. I feel like I am at home on the rink. I hope I can carry on with hockey and make it a career."
