The Seaforth Generals have announced a slew of signings for the 2019-20 CPJHL season.

Four players from the Northwest Territories are on their way to Seaforth, including forwards Luke Steen (second leading goal scorer in 2017-18), Donald Kuptana (fifth in points that same year) and Jeremy Keevik and defenseman Dylan Ross-Kendi.

Steen notched 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points in 38 games as a 17 year old in ‘17-18, while Kuptana scored five goals while adding 24 assists for 29 points in 38 games as an 18-year-old in ‘17-18.

In addition, the Generals have inked 2003-born forward Linden Atchynia, a native of Whapmagoostui, Quebec. He has experience playing for new Seaforth head coach Norm Maracle in the past.

“Linden's a kid that could be a factor every  game night," Maracle said. "He’s a hard worker and he’s going earn everything he gets this coming season. He’s going to be a treat to watch.”

Landon Wapachee is a forward who also signed, hailing from Nemaska, Quebec.

“Wapachee is another player that could be an effective force every game for us," said Maracle. "He’s likely the youngest player we have this season but his hockey IQ will not show that."

Defenseman Travis Sloan is another player returning to the Generals, coming back for his third season in Seaforth.

The native of Holmesville, Ont., is known for using his size and strength to outplay his opponent.

“This is a big year for Travis, and we have been in contact with U.S. schools about his intentions for next year," Seaforth GM TJ Runhart said. "I have no doubt in my mind a player like Travis - if he wants to do something - will do it. It’s been a pleasure having him in the green and orange over the years and I’m looking forward to this season even more."
