Generals add talented youth in forward Sisson, goaltender Sears

The Seaforth Generals have announce the signing of two players for the 2018-19 CPJHL season in forward Nathaniel Sisson and goaltender Xander Sears.

The 17-year-old Sisson is 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds and is a native of East New Market, Md.

Last season, Sisson played for the USPHL's Tri-City Icehawks.

“Nate attended our spring camp held in early May and we liked what we saw," said Seaforth coach TJ Runhart. "We believe Nate can excel and have a great season with the Generals. He already has one year of junior hockey under his belt, so he will use that experience to help Generals this coming season.”

Sears, just 16, is another Maryland product, calling Severn home.

Last season, Sears saw action between the pipes for Chessie High School as well as his club team, the Metro Maple Leafs. He's 5-foot-11 and 153 pounds.

“Xander is a young goalie and we like his work ethic and his drive to make himself better every time he hits the ice," said Runhart. "It’s a big step from Midget to juniors, but we believe with some hard work that Xander can make that step."
