CPJHL Weekend Recap

by Bryan Elliott

Seven games were played this past week, with teams starting to seperate themselves. In the Eastern Division the Almonte Sharpshooters and the O-Town Rebels each secured two victories.  After eight games played, the Sharpshooters are leading the Rebels by one point.

Meanwhile in the West, the Muskoka Wild remain undefeated and at top of the division after their 5-0 shutout over the Grey Highland Hawks.

The Essa Stallions travelled to the Ottawa area to play the Almonte Sharpshooters in the league’s first cross-division game. The Stallions had a weekend split and sit just one point back of the Wild (although the Wild have 3 games in hand).

Parker Stewart of the Essa Stallions leads all league forwards in scoring with four goals and 15 assists for a total of 19 points in 10 games, while Avery Albert of the Seaforth Generals leads all defencemen with seven goals and eight assists for a total of 15 points. Brian Tempel of the Grey Highland Hawks leads all goaltenders with four wins.
