CPJHL to send two teams to WSHL showcase

The Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League has announced that it will send two teams to Las Vegas in December to participate in the annual Western States Hockey League showcase event – the Western States Shootout.

The event has grown exponentially each season and is held before nearly 100 junior, NCAA, ACHA and pro hockey scouts at the Las Vegas Ice Center and Sobe Ice Arena.

“We would like to thank the WSHL for inviting us and allowing us to show our brand to the many scouts that attend the event each year,” said CPJHL president Stephane Laveault. “We look forward to taking our best of the best out west next December. Last year, we had a very, very good showing and we look to continue that positive momentum this coming season.”

Both the CPJHL and WSHL are members of the AAU-sanctioned United Hockey Union.
