Anglers reel in local native Sontag as club's new assistant coach, goalie coach

The Muskoka Anglers have announced the hiring of assistant coach and goalie coach Brett Sontag.

Sontag and his brother, Dylan, both spent their junior hockey years playing in Gravenhurst for the Shield, posting among the biggest numbers in team history before moving on to college hockey.

He is a certified Ontario teacher who'll be helping the players in their studies. Sontag is also a former power lifter and elite gymnast who'll be helping the players bulk up in the gym while developing their endurance, flexibility and power.

"Take note of these players when they walk into the program and walk out," said the Anglers in a team release. "You won't believe it's the same kid."
