The Langton Royals announced Monday that forward Félix Mailhot has signed a professional contract with IFK Ore in the Swedish Elite Hockey League's third division.

Last season with the Royals, the 2000-born Montreal native posted 18 goals and 38 points in 27 games.

"We are very proud of Felix as an organization and we know he will do great in Sweden and progress his career further," said Langton coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "Felix had a great season with us last season. He was a go-to guy on power plays, penalty kills, and 5 on 5. He possesses a large frame and great speed to go with it. He has a great shot and is smart. He is also easy to coach. He will be a great addition to IFK Ore."
