Royals add to team depth, ink forward Ratt, who will 'compete and help the rest of our boys compete'

The Langton Royals have announced the signing of 18-year-old forward Garret Ratt.

"We are happy to sign Garret," said Langton coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "He will develop well in our program and push for a spot in the lineup each night. I'm interested to see what he brings to our team, as I am told he is aggressive and will track down pucks well in the offensive zone.

"I wanted to bring Garret in to compete and help the rest of our boys compete. This will add to the development of each player in our organization as you will now need to compete at practice every day for your spot in the lineup on the weekend. It will help our younger guys grow as players as they will now have to earn their spots in the lineup each night and our veteran guys will have to be sharp because now they have the younger guys and extra players looking to take their spots in the lineup to ensure their own. That will benefit us as a team down the stretch."
