Maniwaki forward Vedyapin to represent home country of Georgia at 2020 IIHF World Championships

Maniwaki Mustangs forward Temuri Vedyapin will represent the country of Georgia at the 2020 IIHF World Championships, Division II - Group B, which are being held in Iceland starting on April 19.

Georgia opens play that day against Bulgaria.

This season with the Mustangs, the 2000-born Vedyapin and native of Tbilisi, Georgia, has tallied 12 goals and six assists for 18 points over 23 games.

He also participated in last year's IIHF World Championship in Bulgaria and was the youngest player in that tournament.

In 2015, Vedyapin participated in the IIHF Finland Hockey Development Camp.
