The Langton Royals have announced the signing of defenseman Jack Dorey for the upcoming 2019-20 CPJHL season.

Dorey goes 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds and hails from Woodstock, Ont. He played Jr. C  for the Delhi Travelers last season.

"Jack will bring experience, poise, speed and a whole lot more to our lineup this season," said Royals coach-GM Jason Do Paco. "He is a good puck-moving defenseman who can play in his own end as well as get up the ice and join the rush."

"Jack adds to our strong back end which we focused on building first. I'm eager to work with Jack and develop his abilities and provide him with the exposure he needs and deserves."

Dorey is elated to suit up in Langton this year.

"I became a Royal to help further my hockey career by developing and getting the opportunity to be exposed to college and university teams," Dorey said. "I plan on working on my weight and size this season as I feel I can get stronger and faster. I would really like to work to get a scholarship and play collegiately next season."
