Coronavirus outbreak forces CPJHL to cancel remainder of 2020 President's Cup Playoffs

by Matt Mackinder

The Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League has made the decision to cancel the rest of the 2020 President's Cup Playoffs.

With the worldwide spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we find ourselves having to not only consider the safety of our membership, but the community as a whole.

This is very unfortunate, especially for our players who were in their final season of junior hockey eligibility.

However, we strongly believe that given the circumstances, it was the best decision.

For the 2019-20 season, we will have co-champions as the Seaforth Generals will be West Division champions and Le Becard de Senneterre the East Division champions.

Thank you for your understanding and for your support all season long,

Barry DeGray, CPJHL President
